Ah, money!
It is the most sought-after piece of literal paper in the entire world. Technically, it is comprised of 25% linen and 75% cotton. Wars have erupted over it, horrific crimes have been committed for it, and even with a bank balance more significant than the number of people in the world, some people just keep getting more and more, and spending it on the weirdest things.
If you ever wondered what kind of ridiculous items they waste their fortunes on, then the 'Stupid Stuff Rich People Buy' Twitter account is the place to be. This relatively new social media project scours the web for the wildest, weirdest, and just plain dumb things (lots of) money can buy.
Here is a list of the not-so-clever and unnecessary things the wealthy spend their coins on. Starting with a wedding celebration that spanded months.

Other Things Rich People Buy
While this one may not be as outlandish and dramatic as the other items on the list, our very own Shawn "Mamkhize" Mkhize has a list of her seemingly unnecessary purchases.
The 20,000-square-foot mansion has 29 rooms: a catering kitchen, wine cellar, home theatre, gym, tennis court, and a swimming pool with a large and now infamous cave-like grotto. The property also features a four-bedroom guest house. However, the most lavish and unnecessary thing in this house is Mamkhize's all-gold bedroom. Yes, you read that right—ALL GOLD!
